Ozaukee Master Gardeners October Presentation

“Dr. Death” to Talk About Plant Diseases Affectionately known as “Dr. Death”, a.k.a Brian Hudelson, will be presenting the topic “Wisconsin Garden Diseases” on October 23 at 7:00 pm via Zoom. In his talk, Hudelson will discuss disease-causing organisms (fungi, bacteria, viruses, phytoplasmas and nematodes) and the symptoms they cause. In addition, he will provide information on environment factors that favor disease development. And focus on disease-like plant disorders that are caused by non-biological factors such as nutrient imbalances, pesticide exposures, environmental pollutants and adverse environmental conditions. Hudelson is the director of the UW-Madison Plant Disease Diagnostics Clinic (PDDC). The PDDC provides expertise in diagnosing plant disease problems, and information on plant diseases and their control to a wide range of clientele throughout the state of Wisconsin and beyond.
