Management of Chronic Pain in the Elderly
The Grafton Library welcomes you to this informational session followed by question and answer presented by Shwetha Simhan, MD. Chronic pain is common in the elderly and is often untreated or under treated. One of the many obstacles to effective pain management is not having a proper assessment of pain. It has been noted in many studies that more than 50-75% of Older adults have 2 or more chronic pain conditions. Dr. Simhan is the Medical Director of the Pain Health and Wellness Institute.
