Beecome a Home Bee Keeper with local bee expert Charlie Koenen
This day-long class gives you the information and hands-on skills to begin beekeeping this spring. A combination of hands-on and interactive instructions will give you a solid overview of the many kinds of beehives to choose, as well as the "know-how" to get started. We teach natural beekeeping techniques focused on Community Supported Pollination.
We'll provide you with your first beekeeping book and handouts detailing hive siting, installing bees, seasonal overviews and valuable tips and techniques.
Topics include:Types of Hives,Honey Bee Biology, General Hive Management, Natural Top Bar Hive Techniques, Hands-on Techniques (sans bees)
$70 by 2/17 or $80 after 2/17 (Includes lunch!)
